Das ESP32-C2 NodeMCU Entwicklerboard basiert auf dem ESPC2-12 Modul mit der ultra low power LeXin ESP8684 MCU von Espressif. Die neuartige LeXin ESP8684 32-bit single core MCU unterstützt 2,4Ghz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wlan und Bluetooth 5 (BLE) Standard.
Im Vergleich zu typischen ESP32 und ESP8266 basierenden Modulen im NodeMCU Formfaktor, verfügt das ESP32-C2 NodeMCU Board über einen
- EN Button, um bei Bedarf ein Reset auszuführen
- IO9 Button, um den Flash Boot Modus zu aktivieren
Zum Flashen muss der IO9 Button gedrückt (gehalten) werden und der EN Button 1 x gedrückt werden. Das ESPC2-12 NodeMCU Board führt einen Neustart im Flash Modus aus.
Der LeXin 32-Bit RISC-V Prozessor erreicht ein Taktfrequenz von bis zu 120 MHz und verfügt über 272KB SRAM (16KB Cache) und einem 576 KB ROM Speicher.

Zur direkten seriellen Anbindung über USB-C verfügt das ESP32-C2 NodeMCU Modul über einen CH340 USB TTL Konverter.

The ESPC2-12 NodeMCU Board is based on ESPC2-12 Module with ultra low power LeXin ESP8684 MCU from Espressif. The LeXin ESP8684 32-bit single core MCU supports 2,4Ghz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 5 (BLE) standard.
Compared to typical ESP32 and ESP8266 NodeMCU Formfactor Modules the ESP32-C2 Module has a
- EN Button, for Reset / Restart
- IO9 Button, to enable Flash Mode
To activate Flash Mode press and hold down IO9 Button and press EN Button once. The ESPC2-12 Module will restart in Flas Mode.
The LeXin 32-Bit RISC-V Processor with up to 120 MHz has 272KB SRAM (16KB Cache) and 576 KB ROM storage.
